You'll only do, on a consistent basis, what you REALLY believe
in.
I was recently talking about MLM to a good friend of mine.
They said: "I guess that's why I'm not into MLM like you are Robert. I
don't believe in it like you do".
I thought: "Have I failed to explain the value of MLM to
my good friend? Had I dropped the ball?"
I immediately went into my "speil" about the
distribution "cycle" and if you bought a pair of Jeans at Wal-Mart and
the same identical pair of Jeans at Dillards, that you'd pay more at Dillards,
etc.
So, does that make Dillards a "SCAM"? "Of
Course Not", I said.
People buy at Dillards because of the perceived value and
atmosphere and conveinence, etc. Still nothing. I then talked about how a bottle
of shampoo at Wal-Mart may cost less, but it has inferior ingredients to those
shampoos MLM companies produce and that it won't send your kids to college or
help you retire early.
Still nothing.
I then talked about residual income, transfer buying, the 2-5
year plan of MLM, how you can live the life you dream of, etc.
Still nothing.
I then went for the throat. I gave my "social
security" may not be here, speach. How I treat MLM like my own form of
"social security". And, just like that small deduction out of your
check each month, your MLM business can grow slowly. I even said, "what if
it took you 20 years to build your MLM to $2,000 a month don't you think it
would be worth it?"
As you suspect, still nothing.
You see, MLM is not for everyone. And you don't need everyone.
You just need 1-3 strong people or "legs" to get you a nice,
comfortable income.
What you need is a game plan.
A plan that helps you find those people like you and me who
are "crazy in love" with this concept called Residual Income.
You may love the products.
You may love the pay plan.
You may love the concept.
You may love the company.
You may love your upline.
Whatever sets you on "fire", so be it.
It doesn't matter "why" you're in MLM.
It doesn't mattter "what" causes you to take action.
It doesn't matter what "product" you promote.
It doesn't matter what "pay plan" you like.
It doesn't matter what "company" you join.
Just get in there and get after it! What does matter is that
you "do" take action.
I try to tell everyone in my groups to make at least "10
Phone Calls a Day".
I especially tell that to my new downline members. I tell
them: "Whether you believe in yourself or the MLM company you're
representing, if you'll make 10 Phone Calls a Day, for the next 20 days you'll
know whether this business is for you or not!
Make 200 calls then you'll know!
If you can get everyone to dial 10 phone numbers a night, 5
nights a week for one month you'll find your group will grow. Tell them they
don't even have to "believe" in what they're doing. Just have them do
it.
