TWO LESSONS TAUGHT TO ME BY JIM ROHN THAT I AM THANKFUL FOR by

Over the last twenty years I have had many mentors. My Dad, Pete Rose, Zig
Ziglar, Shaklee Master Coordinator Jim Burke, and of course, Jim Rohn.
I first heard Mr. Rohn at the age 21 at a rally held in Dayton, Ohio. I was
mesmerized. After about his first 30 minutes, I had a severe case of writers
cramp.
Literally every word out of his mouth was filled with inspirations, insight, and
wisdom.
I finally realized that there was no way I was going to be able to keep up, the
best thing I could do was simply buy his tapes.
Today, I own every set of Jim Rohn tapes available. Fifteen years later I had
the opportunity to introduce Mr. Rohn at a National Conference.
His response, "That was the best introduction I have ever had".
That day was probably the most inspirational day of my network marketing Career.
Some of you that have seen my emotional video,
"The Power Of a Dream", it was filmed that morning, and I had the
opportunity to introduce Mr. Rohn that afternoon.
Wow, what a day!
I read from my journal when I introduced Mr. Rohn. I talked about that life
changing day in Dayton Ohio.
Two things that I walked away with from that seminar.
#1 KEEP A JOURNAL.
#2 TAKE A LOT OF PICTURES
From that day forward I have followed that advice. My wife Stephanie and I have
taken albums upon albums full of pictures.
You couldn't buy one of those albums from us for all the money in the world!
We both have kept a journal since the day we first heard Mr Rohn.
My home is full of memories. My personal home office is full of sentimental
awards, tokens, plaques and paintings that my organizations
have given to me over the years.

Plaques from 27 other States
And the list goes on and on.
If I had a fire at my home, the first tangible thing I would attempt to carry
out would be my journals.
Why?
Because each one of those special days and times when I received the plaques,
awards, pictures, etc, have all been recorded on the pages of my
journals.
I guess I have all the possessions that money can buy. But there is no Car,
Pieces of Jewelry, or Fine Art that means more to Stephanie and I
than our pictures, and our journals.
How much did they cost us? What are they worth?
Mr. Rohn's point was simple. When you leave this earth the thing that will mean
the most to your family are your words and your pictures.
Leave something of great value for generations to come. Write down your
failures, your victories, you insights, your paradigm shifts, your ups, your
downs, YOUR LIFE.
Let Network Marketing be your teacher. The greatest reward our industry offers
is "Personal Development". Leave your words and your pictures for your
family.
Give that that which money can't buy or ever replace.
I never will forget these words:
"The real challenge is to live a life that is so adventurous that you
actually have something worth writing" Jim Rohn
That is what network marketing provides those of us that make the decision to
lay it all on the line, and go for it. A magnificent adventure.
No mater what your age, my advise is that you take the advise I took from Mr.
Rohn twenty years ago.
